I was in the 1st Air Force JROTC instructor at GHHS under Mr. Sauers. My niece was also in the second graduating class from GHHS. I must say he left a high mark on the walls of GHHS for others to maintain. His vision for the future of our kids in the AVUSD is nothing but positive, and we need it. I was honored to have worked under Mr. Sauers. He helped myself and other new teachers grow and be accepted. All my family members are behind him all the way.

Re-Elect Richard Sauers AVUSD School Board

Please re-elect Richard Sauers for Apple Valley Unified School District School Board.

Richard Sauers has some new ideas on how Apple Valley schools are doing these days. He is concerned with issues of safety, and knows that students who don't feel secure in the classroom and on the school grounds can't concentrate on learning. The current state testing process is also a subject that he is interested in studying.

47 Years experience in Education: Teacher, coach, site administrator, & board member. First Principal of Granite Hills. His student-centered philosophy about education revolves around safe, nurturing, and well managed schools. Fiscal conservative who understands the challenges of the state budget crisis and prioritizing needs.
